The children at H.R. Moye Elementary are getting into the holiday spirit this week in a BIG way. Moye principal Ms. Ayala is reading Chris Van Allsburg's Christmas classic The Polar Express to children in each grade before they watch the movie by the same name in the library. Our wonderful Lit Leader Ms. Mueller and our enthusiastic Reading First Coach Ms. Avery along with hard-working crossing guards Ms. Aguilar and Ms. Blanco and library clerk, Ms. Manso are serving up steaming cups of hot cocoa to the students as they enjoy the movie.After the movie, the children are selecting their first RIF book for the school year and are being given a shiny silver bell reminding them to always believe in the magic of Christmas!
